Madrid accommodation comes in two categories: Hotels and Hostales or Pensiónes. Hotels are star rates from 1 to 5 stars, whereby Hostales have their own rating system from 1 to 3 stars. Hostales are usually cheap, from 35 Euro a night, but don't expect a hotel boy carrying your heavy backs to your accommodation door. Breakfast with this cheaper priced accommodation is usually not included. Most double rooms have only twin beds. If you want a double room you would need to ask exclusively for a "cama de matremonio"
