Cheap City Breaks - Madrid City Breaks

Madrid accommodation comes in two categories: Hotels and Hostales or Pensiónes. Hotels are star rates from 1 to 5 stars, whereby Hostales have their own rating system from 1 to 3 stars. Hostales are usually cheap, from 35 Euro a night, but don't expect a hotel boy carrying your heavy backs to your accommodation door. Breakfast with this cheaper priced accommodation is usually not included. Most double rooms have only twin beds. If you want a double room you would need to ask exclusively for a "cama de matremonio"

Madrid's ancient city centre does not give the traveler an awful choice in terms of transport when hopping from monument to monument. The quickest way to get around is actually to walk. Only if you get beyond the immediate centre of Madrid, Metro and Bus are convenient means of transportation to view all the sights. You can get a Metrobus from one of the tobacconists so you do not have to worry constantly about buying a new ticket for each trip.
